I was the lead developer for the website for the Gates foundation's Strategic Investment Fund.
The Gates SIF team includes dedicated and experienced business and investment professionals. They collaborate with the Gates foundation’s program teams—working side-by-side to identify investment opportunities that produce the greatest impact.
With experience managing investments worldwide across sectors of every size and scale, their team is well-positioned to partner on investments that deliver real results to the world’s poorest populations.
Our agency was asked to create the digital branding, website, and digital strategy for Gates Strategic Investment Fund.
The main goal of the site was to be a central source of information about the fund's news, activities, and portfolio.
We included advanced filtering options to search through some of the content on the site, and the site is easy for the Gates' team to update and maintain. The site also features beautiful imagery and a clean modern design.
As the lead developer on this project, my main responsibility was to figure out the sitemap, set up the WordPress backend, and translate the static design into a beautiful and responsive front-end.
The site was built in a very modular and flexible way. It was tested thoroughly in several browsers and devices, and meets accessibility standards.
I worked closely with our lead UX designer and our lead visual designer to create an experience that reflected the Gates SIF brand and values.
Overall, this project was a big success. It launched on time, met all brand and accessibility guidelines, and accomplished the project goals. Our client was very happy.
